500 meters from Meadow Cottage is the middle of Harlyn Bay. The bay can be accessed by walking along a footpath through a field, climbing over a stile and then descending steps to the beach. The picture of Harlyn Bay shows Meadow Cottage in the background.

Harlyn Bay offers a wonderful gently sloping sweep of sand sheltered by Trevose Head with its rugged cliffs. Harlyn Bay offers good body surfing, swimming and wind surfing along its approximately one mile width. A surf school operates throughout the summer holiday period at Harlyn Bay.

There are other beautiful beaches within five minutes drive of the cottage.

For just one of the bracing cliff top walks head along Harlyn Bay to a natural blow-hole about three miles from the cottage.
